We enjoyed a super Christmas Cafe in Trinity Hall this morning and Julie accompanied by Trevor presented the cheque for £3000 to the Bevern Trust , being the sum raised by the Cafe team . Alice Fry nee Williams representing the Bevern Trust brought Saleem with her a young member of the Community.
Alice had last been in Trinity Hall when as a child she was a member of Holy Trinity’s Sunday School, commenting that the Hall seemed huge then . Well this morning it was truly bursting at the seams with our super patrons carol singing and donating over £320 towards next years fund raising.
2020 is looming and who knows what the New Year will bring? Whatever it is, you know you can be sure that the Trinity Café will be here as usual on the second and fourth Thursday of every month!
We look forward to seeing all our regulars at the café and if you are new to the area, please come and join us. We love to meet new people and would like to acquaint you with your neighbours.
Trinity café, which is open between 9.30am-12pm, has become the “hub” of Coleman’s Hatch, the place to get together with old friends and also to meet new people. We serve fresh coffee and hot chocolate, a selection of teas in vintage china, and also soft drinks. Our fantastic team of volunteer bakers regularly donate a variety of delicious cakes and pastries, all freshly baked and delivered on the morning of each café. If you enjoy baking and would like to make a cake to support us, please get in touch.
We do not make a charge for our produce but rely totally on donations which help to support the upkeep of Trinity Hall as well as a chosen local charity each year, for which we thank you. After each café any cakes still on the table are available to take home for a donation.
Dates for your diary this year include Saturday May 16th which is the date of the Church Fete, if you would like to get involved and can spare an hour or so to help, please get in touch. May also, marks the 75th anniversary of V.E. Day so watch this space to see what the café will do to celebrate the occasion.
Later in the summer, July 18th is the new date for the Coleman’s Hatch Flower Show which will open at its new venue, Ashdown House Preparatory School.
The Autumn Flower show will be housed in its usual home, Trinity Hall on Saturday 26th September. As always we will keep you updated at each café with other events as they are planned.
Our first café in 2020 is on Thursday 9th January, we look forward to seeing you there.
