Trinity Cafe

Last month we welcomed Jennifer Tate, Patron of Crowborough First Responders, who are our chosen charity for this year.

We were introduced to Bloss and Jaqi who explained that they are not a substitute for the emergency services but a group of specially trained volunteers who, on request from the ambulance service, respond to 999 calls requiring immediate assistance. On arrival they are then able to reassure and stay with the patient until an ambulance or a medic arrives. We have invited Bloss and Jaqi back to the café on 26th March when they will hold an awareness session in basic lifesaving skills, including how to use a defibrillator. Anyone at the café that day is welcome to join in the session.

On March 12th with an Irish theme, we will honour St Patrick and wear the Shamrock, with music, songs and fine Irish fare.

As usual our doors are open to all, we have a children’s area for the young and are always happy to see any newcomers to the café.
