We started our meeting with congratulations on our successful entries in the Autum South of England Show. It was interesting that our entry of “jar of fruit Jelly” which was from a professional point of view perfect – absolutely clear – only got a 3rd place while the first two were very cloudy; however ours was voted best exhibit with the public vote.
This month we will need your bookings for the Christmas lunch at Barnsgate on 2nd December and numbers for our December meeting on the 12th to allow us to cater for you all. November is our AGM we have a county advisor coming: there is still time to volunteer for the committee.
With business out of way we welcomed Gillian Lloyd who took us to see the Seasons of Yellowstone Park . She is a extremely good photographer: we saw most of the wildlife and some amazing shots of the snowy landscapes and some of the 500 Geysers which erupt every 35 minutes. All very picturesque but a bit cold for me. Janette Everest
